MMA cages, or octagons, have a variety of specifications depending on the governing body or event, but commonly feature an octagonal or rounded shape with a diameter of 7-9 meters (around 23-30 feet) and a fence height of 1.5-1.9 meters (5-6.5 feet). They consist of 8 metal panels with steel mesh, padded corner protectors, and often include a raised platform for visibility and catwalks for access. Safety is paramount, so the floor is covered with shock-absorbent mats, and the walls are designed to prevent falls while allowing for camera views.
